The San Francisco 49ers have agreed to a deal with free-agent linebacker Oren Burks. Burks announced the news himself. He will get a two-year, $5 million deal.
Burks, 26, is a former third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Packers. In his four seasons in Green Bay, Burks had 92 total tackles and seven starts. In 2021, he had 36 total tackles.
The 49ers already have a solid linebacker room that is led by Fred Warner, so Burks is expected to provide depth at the position.
