New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk has undergone knee surgery in the offseason. Ramczyk’s surgery was a “clean up” first and foremost, and also apparently fixed some issues and pain that he had been dealing with throughout the 2021-2022 season.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
Ramczyk was drafted with the 32nd (and last) pick of the first round in the 2017 NFL Draft. Since being chosen by the Saints, he has two Second Team All-Pro selections (2018 and 2020) and one First Team All-Pro selection (2019).
Before this year, Ramczyk had missed only one game in his previous four seasons. This year, he played in only 10 of 17 games. Some of those missed games were due to the injury he just had alleviated with this offseason knee injury.
