Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs suffered an ankle injury in Week 9’s loss. The injury is being listed as a high-ankle sprain, which can take 4-6 weeks to heal. Doubs is one of many Packers wide receivers to suffer an injury in 2022.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Doubs became a sensation in OTAs and preseason when video arose of him making fantastic plays. The fourth-round draft pick played his college ball at the University of Nevada and was chosen to help mitigate the loss of Davante Adams.
His minicamp prowess hasn’t quite translated to the regular season, though. Doubs has 31 receptions on 50 targets for 314 yards and three touchdowns through nine games played (seven starts). He’s also rushed the ball once for 11 yards.
