Ravens Trade TE Hayden Hurst to Falcons for Draft Picks

David MontoyaBy David MontoyaMarch 16, 20202 Mins Read

After losing Austin Hooper to free agency earlier today, the Atlanta Falcons have received TE Hayden Hurst from the Baltimore Ravens via trade.

The Ravens are sending Hayden Hurst and a 2020 4th-round pick in return for Atlanta’s 2020 2nd-round and 5th-round pick. The news was broke today from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Trade terms.

🏈Atlanta gets: Tight end Hayden Hurst and Ravens’ 2020 4th-round pick.

🏈Baltimore gets: Falcons’ 2020 2nd-round pick and Falcons 2020 5th-round pick.

As it turns out, the Falcons’ fifth-round pick already has been sent to Jacksonville for Calais Campbell.

Hayden Hurst was selected first the 25th overall pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Ravens. The South Carolina alumni was the first tight-end taken in 2018. In his time with the Ravens, Hurst has not done much more than be a backup for Mark Andrews.

In his two years with Baltimore, Hurst caught 43 passes for 512 yards and three touchdowns. The tight-end is now being sent to the Falcons, who lost their starting tight-end to the Browns earlier today.
