The Las Vegas Raiders are finalizing a trade to send wide receiver Davante Adams to the Jets according to Ian Rapoport. Adams will rejoin his former quarterback in Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers, in New York.
Adams told the Raiders front office that he’d prefer to be traded earlier this season. In return for trading Adams, the Raiders will receive a conditional third-round pick. It could become a second-round pick based on performance.
In his 11 NFL seasons, Adams has six Pro Bowls, three All-Pro selections, 890 catches, 10,990 receiving yards and 96 touchdown catches. He has been dealing with a hamstring injury this season, but has 18 catches for 209 yards and one touchdown on the year.
With Rodgers in New York, Adams will hope to improve the Jets enough to make the playoffs. They currently are 2-4. Adams joins a receiver room that already has a young star in Garrett Wilson.
