Patriots linebacker Raekwon McMillan is re-signing with the team on a one-year deal. The new contract is for $1.6 million guaranteed, but is worth $2.2 million in incentives. This is his second-straight one-year deal with New England.
The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
McMillan was a second-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. After stints on the injured reserve there he was traded to the Raiders, then signed with the Patriots for one year ahead of the 2021 season.
In 16 games (one start) last season, McMillan had 35 combined tackles, one fumble recovery and one sack. His sack last season was his first in the NFL. His best tackling season came in 2018, when he had 105 total tackles.
