Questionable Madden 19 Ratings: Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore Ravens

The Game Haus will be analyzing the Madden 19 ratings of every NFL team. Madden has a daunting task of rating all NFL players and their attributes. They have the ability to correct some of these rankings with in-season roster updates. But there are some issues with the initial rankings of players. This article will examine Baltimore Ravens Madden 19 ratings.

Marshal Yanda- #73, Offensive Guard

Without a doubt, Yanda is the best player on the Baltimore Ravens’ offense. But it’s odd that the multi-time Pro-Bowl guard holds an overall 92 rating. Why? Because he broke his ankle in September of last season and had to sit out most of last season. Not mention he is 33 years old. Yanda’s rating would be at 90 to 91, not 92.

His age is the biggest opposition to a >90 overall rating. His injury rating sits at a 93, while stamina stands at 85. Due to his season-ending injury last season, Yanda’s ratings in these department ought to be lower. His strength will suffer as a result, too. Instead of a 93 rating, it should be more of a 90, given the beatings he’s endured for the past decade. But even after all this, Marshal Yanda still remains the driving force of the offense.

CJ Mosley- #57, Linebacker

The Baltimore Ravens have received more returns on their investment in number 57 than even they expected. But the latest Madden rating for Mosley does not do the three-time Pro-Bowler justice. Madden 19 rates Mosley an overall of 84. To say this is too low of a rating is an understatement. What he accomplished last season deserves better recognition than it has.

During all 16 games of the 2017 season, CJ Mosley tallied 132 combined tackles: 96 solo and 36 assisted. He has also caught two interceptions, forced and recovered three fumbles and defended seven passes. Over in the Madden Ratings, his awareness stands at 84, while his play recognition and pursuit ratings sit in the low-to-mid 80 eighties. These ratings should be significantly higher. His awareness should be closer to the low 90’s, while his play recognition and pursuit should both be between 86-89.

Justin Tucker- #9, Kicker

Justin Tucker, without a doubt, is the best active kicker in the NFL. The fact that he has finished four of his last six seasons with a >90.0 kick percentage is nothing to sneeze at. Not to mention he has nailed 15 of his last 17 attempts from 50 yards or further. There aren’t a lot of Madden ratings to judge kickers for since there are only three big ones: awareness, kicking power and kicking accuracy. Speaking of Madden ratings, Tucker’s awareness ratings sits at 73. Honestly, it should be higher, around an 80 to be exact.

Adjusted Madden Ratings

Mashal Yanda- 90 Overall

CJ Mosley- 90 Overall

Justin Tucker- 88 Overall
