Before the season, sportsbooks will release a number of wins they predict each NFL team to win during the regular season. Gamblers can choose to bet the over/under on the win total. Predicting each NFL team’s over/under isn’t easy, as each game result impacts so much.
Win totals found here.
Last season: 19-13
Buffalo Bills: Over 11.5 Wins
The Bills had plenty of roster changes last season and handled the season well, even through injuries. They should be expected to hit the over again this season with Josh Allen leading the offense.
Miami Dolphins: Over 7.5 Wins
Miami won eight games last year and had some key injuries to Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa which held them back. While Jalen Ramsey is gone and Minkah Fitzpatrick is in, the defense has enough parts to be decent, while the offense can be efficient to help them win at least eight games.
New England Patriots: Under 8.5 Wins
New England has a promising young quarterback in Drake Maye and the defense should be solid. New head coach Mike Vrabel will help as well, but they may still be lacking offensive line play and weapons for Maye to take a huge jump in wins this season, even if they do improve.
New York Jets: Under 5.5 Wins
The Jets will try to run the ball and control the clock this year with Justin Fields at quarterback, but can they pass enough to be an effective team? That will be the big question this season. In a tough division, the Jets may struggle to get to six wins.
Baltimore Ravens: Over 11.5 Wins
The Ravens won 12 games last season and there is no reason why they can’t do that again. Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry create a great rushing duo and the defense improved their secondary this offseason with the acquisitions of Jaire Alexander and rookie Malaki Starks.
Cincinnati Bengals: Over 9.5 Wins
Cincinnati posted one of the best offensive seasons possible last year and had the NFL leader in sacks, but still missed the playoffs. They’ll need to start this season better and are trying to improve that area by playing starters in the preseason. If the defense can take a step forward, the Bengals have the offensive firepower to win double-digit games.
Cleveland Browns: Over 4.5 Wins
The Browns shouldn’t be expected to make a push towards the playoffs, but they do still have Myles Garrett who can wreck games. They also have Kevin Stefanski, who should be able to get a lot out of an offense that lacks firepower.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Under 8.5 Wins
The Steelers always seem to find a way to at least go .500, but this year might be tough. Aaron Rodgers comes in with DK Metcalf, but the rest of the offense may not be of the quality to help the team score points. Defensively, they will be tough, but may have trouble getting back to the playoffs this season.
Houston Texans: Over 9.5 Wins
Last season, the Texans didn’t play as well as expected and still won 10 games. They will have a slightly worse offensive line, but did improve the pass rush and several other areas of the team. A weaker division will make things a bit easier on the Texans.
Indianapolis Colts: Under 7.5 Wins
Indianapolis has new faces on the interior offensive line and also has a quarterback battle between Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson. Things aren’t exactly going as planned for the Colts, so they’ll need their defense to step up, but that is a tall ask.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Over 7.5 Wins
New head coach can work with Trevor Lawrence and get the offense jump-started, especially with wide receivers Brian Thomas and Travis Hunter. With a good pass rush the defense should be solid enough to push for contention to make the playoffs.
Tennessee Titans: Under 5.5 Wins
The Titans had the no. 1 overall pick last season and will likely have some growing to do this year. Cam Ward doesn’t have the most talented weapons or the offensive line in front of him and hasn’t always made the best decisions with the football in college. He can turn into a good pro, but it might take some time and the Titans could struggle to get to six wins.
Denver Broncos: Under 9.5 Wins
The Broncos won 10 games last season and did improve their defense. They will face a harder schedule and will need Bo Nix to diversify his approach and attack downfield more to get more wins. In a tough AFC Wild Card race, the Broncos may be on the outside looking in.
Kansas City Chiefs: Over 11.5 Wins
Kansas City won 15 games last season and they didn’t even have the offense humming like it usually does. The defense stepped it up last season and the offense should recover this season with more of their receivers being available and a potentially better offensive line if rookie Josh Simmons pans out.
Las Vegas Raiders: Under 5.5 Wins
Pete Carroll, Geno Smith and Ashton Jeanty will all help the offense improve. The Raiders will want to run the ball and could do it well, but their own defense could let them down.
Los Angeles Chargers: Over 9.5 Wins
The Chargers did well in year one under Jim Harbaugh, winning 11 games. Losing Joey Bosa will hurt, but the Chargers should be able to run the ball better this season on offense. Getting to the playoffs should be the expectation and 10 wins will help them do that.
Dallas Cowboys: Over 8.5 Wins
Assuming that the Cowboys get an extension done with Micah Parsons, they can compete for a playoff spot, even if they aren’t Super Bowl contenders. The offense should have some added life with George Pickens and the run game should also be improved. It is a tough division, but they can get to nine wins.
New York Giants: Under 5.5 Wins
The Giants have an awkward situation where the GM and head coach are on the hot seat. They enter the season with Russell Wilson at quarterback and what is expected to be a limited offense outside of superstar receiver Malik Nabers. The defense will have a good pass rush, but could struggle elsewhere.
Philadelphia Eagles: Over 11.5 Wins
The Eagles are coming off a Super Bowl victory with the best roster in the NFL. Howie Roseman has set the team up for long-term success. They are great in the trenches which should help them avoid regression.
Washington Commanders: Over 9.5 Wins
Washington won 12 games last season and there could be a step down, but they can still hit the over. The defense still has some holes, but the offense is set up pretty well for Jayden Daniels. Getting to 10 wins should be expected.
Chicago Bears: Over 8.5 Wins
The Bears have built the roster up well and now have Ben Johnson leading the way. An improved offense can help Caleb Williams develop and the defense has been the bright spot of the team the last few seasons. A jump from five to nine wins shouldn’t be too much.
Detroit Lions: Over 9.5 Wins
Both coordinators may be gone, but Dan Campbell’s Lions have a good foundation. They will run the ball and play good defense. With a healthy Aidan Hutchinson, the pass rush will be better. The offense has been efficient and should continue to be even without Ben Johnson.
Green Bay Packers: Over 9.5 Wins
Jordan Love battled through injury last season and the Packers still won 11 games. With Love healthy, the Packers should be able to win around 11 games, like they did last year. The defense has some holes in the secondary, but Matt LaFleur has done a great job over his time and can be expected to make up for it.
Minnesota Vikings: Under 8.5 Wins
The Vikings have a good, confusing defense that can help them be competitive in a lot of games. But they have a quarterback in J.J. McCarthy who hasn’t taken an NFL snap and is coming off of injury. He wasn’t asked to throw a ton in college, so the growing pains could make it tough for the Vikings to hit the over.
Atlanta Falcons: Under 7.5 Wins
The Falcons got Michael Penix some experience last season and the offense can be better. They will likely take a step backwards in their run defense as they got weaker up the middle this offseason.
Carolina Panthers: Over 6.5 Wins
Bryce Young took some meaningful steps forward at the end of last year and has a better wide receiver room to work with this season. If the defense can stay healthy, the Panthers can improve by at least two wins from last season.
New Orleans Saints: Under 5.5 Wins
The Saints don’t have a great quarterback situation and they lost several key players this offseason. New Orleans is squarely in play for the no. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and should hit the under.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Over 9.5 Wins
Tampa Bay won 10 games last season and can do the same this year. Haason Reddick adds to the pass rush and can help improve the defense. Chris Godwin is coming back from injury, but the Bucs drafted Emeka Egbuka who should be able to give a jolt to the offense.
Arizona Cardinals: Under 8.5 Wins
Arizona added some reinforcements, but they need to utilize their offensive weapons better. Trey McBride has to find the end zone more often and Kyler Murray has to build better trust with Marvin Harrison Jr.
Los Angeles Rams: Over 9.5 Wins
This offseason, the Rams added Davante Adams, which helps their offense and should make them one of the best in the league. Their young players stepped up big last season and should take a step forward in 2025.
San Francisco 49ers: Under 9.5 Wins
The 49ers lost a lost of key players from last year’s team, including Talanoa Hufanga, Dre Greenlaw and Deebo Samuel. Christian McCaffrey is returning from injury as well. The team can still be competitive, but the age, health and depth of the team is concerning and makes the under a safer bet.
Seattle Seahawks: Under 8.5 Wins
Seattle has such an impressive secondary, but will likely have an average run defense. Sam Darnold is in at quarterback, which makes it hard to believe there won’t be some learning curve that could make things tough early. A step back with some of the changes should be expected.
