The Philadelphia Eagles will be facing the Green Bay Packers this Sunday night in Philadelphia. The line as of this writing favors the Eagles at six and a half. This article will preview the Philadelphia Eagles Week 12 game against the Green Bay Packers.
The Packers are having a surprisingly down year as they have a record of 4-7. Aaron Rodgers has not looked the same recently. He has not been as accurate with his passes as we have seen in past years. However, it was just confirmed that he does have a broken finger, which could explain some of his difficulties passing the ball. Even with the broken finger, Rodgers does not have the same weapons he once had at receiver. Devante Adams is long gone as he now plays for the Raiders. The biggest receiving threat on the Packers roster is Adam Lazard. He has 529 yards receiving and five touchdowns on the season. Furthermore, they also have a huge threat on the ground in Aaron Jones. He has 778 rushing yards which is good for 8th in the league. Jones also has two touchdowns on the season.
The Packers are also struggling on the defensive side of the ball. They have struggled in stopping the rush this season, which is one of the Eagles’ strengths. They are ranked 24th in rushing yards allowed. If the Packers want to win, they will need to slow down Miles Sanders and hold him under 100 yards. The Packers will also need to slow the down the Eagles’ receivers, which is another great aspect of the Eagles’ game. They have dealt with coverage breakdowns in past games which is another concern for this Packers’ defense. In conclusion, the Packers are dealing with a lot of issues. However, it is believed that this game will be closer than a lot of people think.
The Eagles are in an entirely different position then the Green Bay Packers. They have the best record in the league at 9-1. They have killed it on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Jalen Hurts is having one heck of a year. He has over 2,000 yards passing and 15 touchdowns. Hurts has kept interceptions at a minimum with three. His favorite target is A.J. Brown. He has been unstoppable as of late. The Eagles also have a potent rushing attack with Miles Sanders. He has 757 yards rushing and six touchdown thus far. With all this being said, the Eagles have struggled offensively the past couple weeks. They could not get anything going in a loss to a hot Commanders team. The Eagles also struggled offensively against the Colts as they won that game in the last two minutes.
However, the Eagles’ defense has kept them in games the past couple of weeks. They have done a great job at passing rushing. Hassan Reddick leads the team in sacks with seven and a half. Javon Hargrave is right behind him with seven. The Eagle’s secondary is also top-notch with Darius Slay and C.J. Gardner Johnson. Gardner Johnson leads the team in interceptions with six.
The Eagles are predicted to win this game by a field goal. This concludes this Philadelphia Eagles Week 12 preview.
