    Philadelphia Eagles Rundown: July 29

Matthew BrownBy Matthew BrownJuly 29, 2022Updated:July 29, 20223 Mins Read

In this edition of Philadelphia Eagles Rundown: July 29, three players were signed by the Eagles signed recently. Furthermore, Philly has just released an offensive tackle.  In other news, the Eagles have unveiled alternate black helmets, which have Eagles fans excited.

    Three players signed

Philadelphia has just signed three new players to deals as training camp begins. These newly signed players are Jaeden Graham, Cameron Tom and Lance Lenoir. Graham is a tight end who has spent his first two years in the NFL with the Falcons. He got most of his playing time during his rookie year in 2019. He had nine receptions for 149 yards and a touchdown. Since that 2019 season, Graham has not really gotten on the field a lot. He had three receptions for 25 yards in 2020. In 2021, Graham suffered a knee during practice in august which effectively ended his 2021 season before it began.

Cameron Tom is a  center who had played on the Saints for the first two years of his career. He played in 12 games with the Saints and started one. Recently in 2021, Tom was with the Dolphins where he only played in one game. Hopefully, Tom will be able to make a statement with the Eagles. Lastly, Lance Lenoir is a wide receiver who was on the Dallas Cowboys from 2018 to 2020. He then signed with the Seattle Seahawks later in 2020  where he was ultimately cut. Before the Eagles signed him, Buffalo gave him a chance last august but the Bills ended up waiving him.

Eagles Release Jarrid Williams/ Rodgers added to PUP list

Williams is an offensive tackle who got released by the Eagles. He is going into his rookie season in the NFL, after being undrafted coming out of Miami. Another team will surely give Williams a shot before the regular season begins. He was great in college, as he was a dominant player on the Hurricanes’ offensive line.

In other news, Richard Rodgers has been added to the physically unable to play list. It is unclear what kind of injury this is, but hopefully, this will not be for a long period of time. Rodgers spent most of 2021 on the practice squad but do not count Rodgers out this year. He is a veteran player, who has been in the league since 2014. He is going into his fifth season with the Eagles. His most productive season with Philly came in 2o20 where he racked up 341 yards and two touchdowns. Before the Eagles, Rodgers played in Green Bay for four years.

    Eagles new alternate helmets

The Eagles have new alternate helmets going into the 2022 season. This is after the league changed its minds about a rule that was implemented in 2013 that banned alternate helmets because of safety reasons. The new Eagles’ helmets are black with the traditional Eagle wings on them.

Fans and players have taken a liking to these new helmets. Eagles receiver Devonta Smith approved of the helmet on a video that was posted on Twitter. It is unclear when the Eagles debut these helmets.

This concludes this July 29 edition of the Philadelphia Eagles Rundown.
