His time in San Francisco
Terrell Owen was drafted in the third round of the NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He had a great rookie year with the 49ers. He racked up 520 receiving yards and four touchdowns. This is the lowest yardage total Owens would have throughout his career. During the 1998 season, Owens would reach his first milestone. He had his first 1,000-yard receiving season with 1,097 yards. He also had 14 touchdowns and 16.4 yards per reception.
During the 2000 season, Owens would reach the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career. He had 1,451 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also led the league in receiving yards per game with 103.6 yards. Owens would reach the pro bowl for four connective years after the 2000 season. Owens made a name for himself as one of the best receivers in the NFL by the end of his run in San Francisco. He would be traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004, which would start the next chapter of his career.Â

Owens had a great first season with the Eagles in 2004. He had 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns. The Eagles ended the 2004 season with a 13-3 record. They would end up going to the Super Bowl that year against the New England Patriots where they would fall short of a Super Bowl title.
In 2005, Terrell Owens would have a tumultuous year with the Eagles. He would play seven games that year. He racked up six touchdowns and had the longest reception of the year which was for 91 yards. Owens would be suspended after this for being a bad influence in the Eagles’ locker room. This would be the end of his career in Philadelphia
The rest of his career
After his stint in Philadelphia, Owens would sign a contract with the Dallas Cowboys. He played for the Cowboys for three years. During this time his three 1,000-yard receiving seasons with them. He also made the Pro Bowl with the Cowboys during the 2007 season. Owens would then sign with the Buffalo Bills in 2009.
During his season with the Bills, Owens had 829 receiving yards and five touchdowns. He also had the longest reception that year which was for 98 yards. Owens would then switch teams again for his final year before retirement. He would go to the Bengals where would still make an impact with the team. He had 983 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Owens would not play another down of football in the NFL after his 2009 season with Bengals. Overall, Terrell Owens had a legendary career in the NFL and would make the NFL Hall of Fame in 2018.
