The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a one-year deal with backup quarterback Nate Sudfeld according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Sudfeld, 26, is an Indiana product who was on the roster when the Eagles won the Super Bowl. He has played in three regular-season games, throwing for 156 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions on 80 percent completion.
With Carson Wentz having had injury problems over the first few years of his career, it was important for the Eagles to secure a solid backup.
