Philadelphia Eagles 2022 Schedule and Predictions: Part 4

Publish Date: June 18, 2022

This is part four of looking at the Philadelphia Eagles schedule and giving predictions for every game. This edition will include Weeks 12-14.

Week 12 vs Packers, 11/27, NBC, 8:20 PM

This will be the Eagles’ third primetime game in three weeks as they face the Packers on Monday night. This game will be at home, which favors Philadelphia in that aspect. This Eagles team will face Aaron Rodgers who is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He had 4,115 yards passing, 37 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Containing Rodgers in this game is the big key in this one. If Rodgers has time to throw, then it will be a long day for the Eagles secondary no matter who the receiver is.

Not to mention, Aaron Jones is also a solid running back, which will also give the defense issues. He had two1,000-yard rushing seasons in a row before 2021 where he fell short with 799 rushing yards. For the Eagles to win this game, the defense will need to create turnovers and win time of possession. This has the makings to be one of the best games of the season and it will be close throughout. However, the Eagles will come up just short in this one and lose by a touchdown.

Eagles Lose: 24-17

Week 13 vs Titan, 12/4, FOX, 1 PM

The Eagles will stay at home as they will face the Tennessee Titans. A.J. Brown will get his opportunity to face his former team for the first time since being traded to the Eagles. Tennessee had a great season with Brown in 2021, as they went 12-5 and came in first place in AFC South. Not to mention, they were the AFC’s number one seed in the playoffs. The Eagles face a great Titans defense as they ranked 12th in defense last year. They were great at stopping the run last season, which was one of the Eagles’ strengths in 2021. The Titans should be about the same on defense this season as they return 10 starters.

As for the offensive side of the ball, Tennessee features Derrick Henry who is easily one of the best running backs in the league. He had injury issues last season, but he should be healthy coming into the 2022 season. As for the Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill, he had an off-year in 2021. He threw 14 interceptions which he has not done since his Miami days. If he gets back on track, then the Titans should be a force this season.

So how do the Eagles beat this team? First off, they need to contain Henry which is a great task on its own.  If they do that then the Eagles need to find ways to score on the Titans’ defense. Hurts may have to rely on his arm more than the running game in this one. The Eagles should sneak out a win, but it will be another close game and will be decided in the fourth quarter.

Eagles Win: 17-14

Week 14 at Giants, 12/11, FOX, 1 PM

After two tough tests at home, the Eagles will get a road game against a struggling Giants team. New York went 4-13 last season and came in dead last in the NFC East. Daniel Jones will probably be their starting quarterback, but he struggled last season with over 2,000 yards, 10 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. The Giants also have Saquon Barkley who has great potential, but he can’t get past the injury bug. If he can stay healthy, then the Giants could at least have an opportunity to improve their record from last year.

The Eagles split the season series last year with the Giants. They lost a low-scoring battle where the Eagles seemingly couldn’t get anything going on offense. However, Philadelphia did get their revenge later in the season and won at home pretty handily. The Eagles should not have issues with the Giants in this game and should win it by a couple of touchdowns.

Eagles Win: 24-14

This concludes predicting Weeks 12-14 of the Philadelphia Eagles schedule and predictions for every game. After Part 4 the Eagles have a predicted record of 9-4 with four games left on their schedule.
