The New England Patriots have reached a deal with free agent running back Antonio Gibson according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Gibson, 25, spent the first four seasons of his career with Washington. He has 2,643 rushing yards, 1,283 receiving yards and 29 touchdowns in his career. In 2023, he tallied 265 rushing yards, 389 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
In New England, Gibson will join a backfield that features Rhamondre Stevenson. Stevenson will likely get the early down work, while Gibson can provide a receiving threat.
