The New England Patriots are re-signing running back James White. The new contract for White is reportedly worth $2.5 million over two years. $250,000 of his new deal is fully guaranteed. He will be returning to the team that has won him three Super Bowls.

White was drafted in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Patriots. He has played every season in his NFL career for New England. He was a member of three Super Bowl-winning teams with the Pats. His most famous Super Bowl moment came against the Atlanta Falcon, in which he scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime.
In true Patriots fashion, White is a core member of the team, but fails to get regular starts or even fails to get on the field at all in some games. Bill Belichick loves to cycle out running backs, who usually get few chances if they don’t execute his offense perfectly. White’s long tenure there speaks to his football intelligence, even if he does not get much work. That work extends with this two-year contract.
