New England Patriots defensive end, Henry Anderson, has suffered a potentially season-ending injury. Against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4, Anderson was injured with what appears to be a torn pectoral muscle. An injury like this would end his 2021 season.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
#Patriots DE Henry Anderson is feared to have suffered a torn pec, source said, in last night’s game. He was quickly declared out with a chest injury. If the MRI confirms, he’d be out for the season.

Anderson was a third round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft; selected 93rd overall by the Indianapolis Colts. He spent three seasons with the Colts before being traded to the New York Jets in 2018. His tenure there was three seasons long and marred by a few controversies. He was even called out by Bills head coach Sean McDermott, specifically, for late hits on his players.
After being released by the Jets in March of 2021, the Patriots scooped up the veteran defensive end. His season now seems to be at an end during his first campaign with the Patriots, though.
