Free agent cornerback Patrick Peterson has agreed to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Peterson, 32, is an eight-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro in time spent with the Cardinals and Vikings over his career. He has 610 total tackles, 111 passes defended and 34 interceptions in his career. Last season for the Vikings, Peterson tallied 66 total tackles, 15 passes defended and five interceptions.
Pittsburgh lost Cam Sutton in free agency and needed help at cornerback heading into the offseason and went with the veteran route in Peterson to improve.
