Packers Cut WR Amari Rodgers and RB Kylin Hill

Publish Date: November 15, 2022

The Green Bay Packers have cut two players that were drafted in the 2021 NFL Draft. Wide receiver Amari Rodgers was cut on Monday after fumbling the ball for the fifth time during Week 10’s win against the Cowboys. Running back Kylin Hill was also cut from the roster.

ESPN’s Packers reporter Rob Demovsky reported the news via Twitter on Monday.

Hill played in just eight games during his Packers tenure, all during the 2021 season. He carried the ball just 10 times for 24 yards and zero touchdowns. He also caught the ball once for five yards. Hill began the 2022 season on the PUP list, and didn’t play in a single game.

Rodgers was a third round pick whose comp was Randall Cobb, a Packer favorite. He was quickly relegated to a punt/kick return role, but failed with regularity as fumbling issues reared their head. He has fumbled the ball five times in 2022 alone, and seven times since being drafted. Both players can now be claimed on waivers.
