Former Tennessee Titans first round selection, OT Isaiah Wilson has reportedly signed with the New York Giants. The details of the deal are not quite clear, but he is likely on a practice squad contract until he earns his way onto the field.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon.
Wilson was drafted by the Titans in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, with the 29th overall selection. He played in just one game of his rookie season. This was due to his many stints on reserve/COVID/non-football illness lists along with a suspension for violation of team rules.
He was quickly traded after just one game with the team, as the Dolphins handed the Titans two seventh-rounders for Wilson. Miami released him after he failed to show up to his physical on time and missing two workouts with the team.
In September of 2020, while he was with the Titans, Wilson reportedly took police on a 140-mph chase and had marijuana in his vehicle. He was charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors.
