The Kansas City Chiefs will have left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. at training camp. Brown has had some
trouble
reaching a long term agreement with the team. A recent report made by Robert Griffin III stated that Brown will play under the franchise tag.
There were previous worries that Brown would hold out of the whole training camp and possibly regular season games. But he only ended up missing a total of four practices. Brown’s Agent stated that he wanted to be there when they began padded practices because that’s when the team’s leaders are developed.
This is a big sigh of relief for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs organization. The team hasBrown Jr. locked in for one more season under the franchise tag. This also gives the Chiefs’ front office more time to decide if they want to provide Brown with a big contract or to look for other options.
Also now the team can move on from the unnecessary drama that could have been and prepare for the season. The Chiefs’ first padded practice will start today. Orlando Brown Jr. will be at the Chiefs training camp.
