The Minnesota Vikings have waived a former first round selection. Wide receiver N’Keal Harry has been waived by the Vikings for the second time in the 2023-2024 season. He will now be able to be picked up on waivers by any team.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
Harry was selected with the final pick of the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. He was widely regarded as a bit of a bust in a deep wide receiver draft, as had just 598 receiving yards in three years with the team.
After his stint in New England, Harry found himself with the Bears for one year, playing in seven games. He caught seven balls for 116 yards and a touchdown during his stint in Chicago. Despite being on the active roster, he didn’t record a stat for the Vikings.
