The Cleveland Browns have ruled running back Nick Chubb out for Thursday night against the Broncos with a calf injury. Head coach Kevin Stefanski announced the news on Tuesday.
Chubb has rushed for 523 yards and four touchdowns in five games this season. He sat out the game against the Cardinals with the same injury and is now missing his second game.
The Browns will be down their top two running backs against the Broncos as Kareem Hunt was placed on IR with a calf injury.
They have activated John Kelly, but are expected to mainly use D’Ernest Johnson and rookie Demetric Felton in the backfield for the week. Johnson has three rushes for 11 yards this season. Felton has played receiver for the Browns, but played running back in college at UCLA. In the first six games of his pro career, he has eight receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown.
