The NFL season is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are NFL week 9 picks against the spread. (Spreads are from Tallysight as of Tuesday morning)

Baltimore Ravens (-7.5) at Miami Dolphins
The Ravens played well against the Bears even without Lamar Jackson. Miami seemed to find its offense against the Falcons and are now playing at home. The Ravens may win, but the Dolphins can keep it close.
Pick: Dolphins
Chicago Bears (-2.5) at Cincinnati Bengals
Chicago struggled at Baltimore and now stay on the road at Cincinnati. The Bengals had the Jets beat, but the defense faltered late. The Bengals will give up points, but they should be able to score their fair share too.
Pick: Bengals
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions (-8.5)
Minnesota is a mess right now, as Carson Wentz has been playing injured and not doing well. JJ McCarthy could start in this game, but he will be rusty. The Lions are 5-2 against the spread this year and should be able to get another cover here.

Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers (-13.5)
Green Bay played a great game against the Steelers, while Carolina struggled without starting quarterback Bryce Young. This is a large spread and Carolina can keep it close. Green Bay hasn’t played up to their potential a lot this season.

Los Angeles Chargers (-10.5) at Tennessee Titans
The Titans are a mess after getting destroyed by the Colts last week. Justin Herbert should be able to move the ball and the Titans will not be able to keep up.
Pick: Chargers
Atlanta Falcons at New England Patriots (-4.5)
The Patriots have won five straight games and are on a roll. Atlanta has had some good performances this season, but have put up some duds too. New England has more stability at the quarterback position and it will show in this game.

San Francisco 49ers (-2.5) at New York Giants
The 49ers have battled tough despite their injuries. They lost last week and are playing .500 football over their last six weeks. Cam Skattebo went down for the Giants, which could limit the offense for a week and the 49ers can take advantage.
Pick: 49ers
Indianapolis Colts (-3.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh’s defense hasn’t played up to par this season and going up against Jonathan Taylor won’t make things easy. The Colts should go on the road and cover.

Denver Broncos (-1.5) at Houston Texans
The Texans seemed to get things going against the 49ers and several of their young players stepped up. Denver destroyed Dallas in week 8, but have been inconsistent offensively and could struggle on the road.
Pick: Texans
Jacksonville Jaguars (-3) at Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders have struggled with turnovers this year and get the run game going, but on an inconsistent basis. Jacksonville has offensive issues of their own, but Maxx Crosby is banged up, which will make it easier for them.
Pick: Jaguars
New Orleans Saints at Los Angeles Rams (-13.5)
New Orleans had some good fight earlier in the season, but it is slipping. The Rams are coming off a bye and are at home, which can help them cover this large spread.
Pick: Rams
Kansas City Chiefs (-1.5) at Buffalo Bills
The Chiefs are playing better, but are on a short week. Buffalo got the run game going against the Panthers and it really opened up the offense.
Pick: Bills
Seattle Seahawks (-3.5) at Washington Commanders
With Jayden Daniels injured, the Commanders are struggling. Even if he can play in this game, the Seahawks’ defense can cause problems. With the Seahawks coming off the bye, they have the edge in this game.
Pick: Seahawks
Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys (-2.5)
Dallas has a very bad defense, but their offense has been great and should keep things on the right track. The Cardinals are coming off a bye, but have lost five straight games.
Pick: Cowboys
