NFL Week 8 Picks Against the Spread

Publish Date: October 27, 2026

The NFL season is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are NFL Week 8 picks against the spread. (Spreads are from Tallysight as of Tuesday morning)

Last week: 5-7-2

Season: 47-53-6

Thursday Night Football

Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers (-3.5)

Bryce Young had a terrible game against the Bucs. He will have to turn things around quickly, but that may not be easy against a Packers defense that is coming together. Green Bay can win and cover at home behind Jordan Love’s good play.

Pick: Packers

Sunday Afternoon

Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3.5)

The Steelers are coming back from Paris, but are on a roll right now. Their defense is stepping up and Jaylen Warren has turned into a weapon this season. The Browns play some close games, but going on the road to Pittsburgh has been tough for them.

Pick: Steelers

Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-2.5)

Tampa Bay didn’t have to do too much offensively against the Panthers last week. They may have to this week, which could test Baker Mayfield’s injured thumb more. Atlanta is scoring 31 points per game since Michael Penix Jr. returned from injury.

Pick: Falcons

Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati Bengals (-10)

After a bad first half against the Ravens, the Bengals really found themselves in the second half. Cincinnati can put up plenty of points and can force some turnovers to help cover the large spread.

Pick: Bengals

Las Vegas Raiders (-1.5) at New York Jets

The Raiders started the season hot, but have started losing. While the schedule has been tough, the defense is falling apart nonetheless. They have to travel across the country and the Jets will want to bounce back from the loss to the Dolphins.

Pick: Jets

Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills (-3.5)

Lamar Jackson is expected to return this week. Buffalo is coming off a bye and can prepare for whether he plays or not. The defense will give up some points, but should be able to outscore the Ravens at home.

Pick: Bills

Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars (-7.5)

The Colts haven’t given up yet, but things are falling apart and the trade rumors are heating up. Jacksonville is coming off a bye and has looked good for the most part this season. The Colts will have trouble scoring enough points to cover.

Pick: Jaguars

Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions (-3.5)

Detroit’s offense has been great, but the defense has struggled. Minnesota’s defense has been elite. This should be a close game and the Vikings can keep it within a field goal.

Pick: Vikings

Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys (-6)

Dallas still has plenty of defensive issues, but they did find their offense against the Eagles. The Cardinals will put up points, but the Cowboys can win by a touchdown if the offense keeps rolling.

Pick: Cowboys

Sunday Evening

Los Angeles Chargers at Los Angeles Rams (-6.5)

The Chargers are coming off a bye, but it is hard to trust a team that has looked so bad this season. Matthew Stafford led the Rams to a 14-point win over the Raiders, so defeating the Chargers by at least seven shouldn’t be an issue.

Pick: Rams

Kansas City Chiefs (-1.5) at Denver Broncos

The Broncos are winning games because of their defense, but at some point Bo Nix not playing well will catch up to them. Patrick Mahomes can do enough offensively against the Broncos’ defense to make it tough for Nix to catch up.

Pick: Chiefs

New England Patriots (-7.5) at Miami Dolphins

Miami got their first win of the season in Week 7, but the Patriots had extra time to prepare for this game. Drake Maye has played well for the most part, over the last several weeks. The Dolphins can keep it close for a half, but then the Patriots can pull away.

Pick: Patriots

Sunday Night Football

Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders (-4)

Philadelphia is showing some life with Tanner McKee at quarterback, but going on the road against the Commanders will be tough. Washington is coming off a bye and can get their defense ready to play a backup quarterback.

Pick: Commanders

Monday Night Football

Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks (-3.5)

Seattle got a big win over the Chiefs in Week 7. The defense is great, but the Bears can put up some points of their own. The Seahawks can win and defend their home turf, but the Bears can keep it close.

Pick: Bears
