The NFL season is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are NFL week 6 picks against the spread. (Spreads are from Tallysight as of Tuesday morning)

Seattle Seahawks (-2.5) at Denver Broncos
Seattle has lost some close games, but one was all the way across the country and the other was to the 49ers. They have a bit of an easier test, even on a short week, against the Broncos. Bo Nix isn’t playing well and the Seahawks’ defense can help them win and cover on the road.
Pick: Seahawks
Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars (-2.5) (Game in London)
Houston notched their first win over the Titans and now go overseas. The Jaguars have been there for a week and are rolling this season. They should be more prepared for this to win and cover.
Pick: Jaguars
Carolina Panthers at Philadelphia Eagles (-1)
Despite injuries and retirements, the Eagles are starting to play better, they just need to finish games. Carolina’s offense has played well, but their defense has had some trouble this year.
Pick: Eagles
Chicago Bears (-3.5) at Atlanta Falcons
Michael Penix Jr. was banged up at the end of the game against the Ravens, but may play in this game. When he plays, the offense does well and the Bears’ defense has had some lackluster performances. Even if Caleb Williams can play, the Falcons can keep it close or win the game.
Pick: Falcons
New Orleans Saints at New York Giants (-1.5)
Jameis Winston is heating up for the Giants and helped them tie the Commanders. The Saints should be able to keep up offensively and win the game, as they have scored 24 points in every game outside of last week when they played the Vikings.
Pick: Saints
Pittsburgh Steelers (-2.5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay is riding high after a win over the Cowboys, but the strategy of controlling the clock likely won’t work against the Steelers. Pittsburgh can take advantage of Jalon Daniels being at quarterback to win and cover on the road.
Pick: Steelers
Baltimore Ravens (-4.5) at Cleveland Browns
Lamar Jackson is questionable for this game, but even if he misses, Tyler Huntley led the team to a win over the Falcons on the road. The defense and running game should be able to lead to a win by at least a touchdown.
Pick: Ravens
Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts (-6.5)
The Colts’ defense gives up some points, but the Titans don’t have a threatening offense. They should be able to outscore Tennessee by a decent margin.
Pick: Colts
New York Jets at New England Patriots (-7.5)
Drake Maye was playing terribly early in the season and has really turned things around. The Patriots will likely win, but the Jets have a lot more to them than in most years. They have won two games, and two of their three losses were by just one possession.
Pick: Jets
Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams (-12.5)
The Cardinals were just blown out by the Lions, showing they may be slipping a bit. While the Rams lost on Monday Night Football to the Bills, they played a little better than earlier in the season and can start a string of wins this week.
Pick: Rams
Buffalo Bills (-5.5) at Las Vegas Raiders
The Bills won on the road over the Rams and can carry that momentum into Las Vegas. The Raiders got off to a good start to the season, but may not be able to keep up with the Bills’ offense.
Pick: Bills
Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs (-8)
Kansas City has a really good balance now with Kenneth Walker III and they are coming off a bye. The Chargers haven’t played well so it will take a lot of improvement to keep it within the spread.
Pick: Chiefs
Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers (-1)
Green Bay just blew out Chicago and could be finding their groove. Jordan Love is finding Christian Watson for plenty of big plays. Dallas has played bad defense and could be gashed, even by a flawed Packers team.
Pick: Packers
Washington Commanders at San Francisco 49ers (-7.5)
The Commanders finished the game in a chaotic way and may have some issues in the building. That isn’t a good recipe as they travel across the country to take on possibly the best team in the league.
Pick: 49ers
