NFL Week 4 is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are the NFL week 4 picks against the spread. (Spreads are from Tallysight as of Tuesday morning)
Last week: 11-5
Season: 30-16-2
Thursday Night Football
Detroit Lions (-1) at Green Bay Packers
The Lions defeated the Packers last season on the road and that was when they had Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay is 2-1, but has had plenty of injuries, which will make it hard for them to win this game.
Pick: Lions
Sunday Morning
Atlanta Falcons at Jacksonville Jaguars (-3) (Game in London, England)
Jacksonville has been struggling, but they get a favorable matchup against the Falcons. Atlanta isn’t getting good play out of Desmond Ridder and it could be hard to keep up with the Jaguars.
Pick: Jaguars
Sunday Afternoon
Pittsburgh Steelers (-3) at Houston Texans
C.J. Stroud is playing well for the Texans, despite the offensive line being banged up. The Steelers are a team that can take advantage and possibly get the win on the road.
Pick: Steelers
Los Angeles Rams at Indianapolis Colts (-1)
The Rams are coming off a short week and were banged up in their Monday Night Football game against the Bengals. The Colts will likely have Anthony Richardson back at quarterback, which should open up their offense.
Pick: Colts
Minnesota Vikings (-3.5) at Carolina Panthers
Minnesota is in desperation mode after dropping to 0-3. They should be able to pressure the quarterback and outscore the Panthers by a touchdown.
Pick: Vikings
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints (-3)
New Orleans started off the season well, but lost Derek Carr in week 3. Tampa Bay will be on a short week, but has played well early in the season and could pick up a win with the Saints being without their top quarterback.
Pick Buccaneers
Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles (-9)
The Commanders struggled in week 3 and now get the Eagles. Philadelphia’s defense will help them win and cover.
Pick: Eagles
Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills (-2.5)
Buffalo has a very well-balanced team, but it is going to be hard to keep up with Miami’s offense. Mike McDaniel is scheming very well and their team speed is unmatched.
Pick: Dolphins
Cincinnati Bengals (-2) at Tennessee Titans
The Bengals got their first win of the season on Monday Night Football. Their defense stepped up big time and that should help them shut down the Titans, who have not performed well on that side of the ball.
Pick: Bengals
Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns (-2.5)
Baltimore is banged up, but they’ve dealt with injuries before. Cleveland’s offense still hasn’t played well and things could get worse as the season goes on without Nick Chubb.
Pick: Ravens
Denver Broncos (-3) at Chicago Bears
Both of these teams haven’t looked good this season. Taking the Bears is the smart move, given that they are at home and are getting three points.
Pick: Bears
Sunday Evening
Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers (-5.5)
The Raiders’ offense is a mess. While the Chargers have struggled early in the season, they seemed to get things on track with a win over the Vikings.
Pick: Chargers
New England Patriots at Dallas Cowboys (-7)
The Cowboys took a rough loss the Cardinals, but have a chance to make things right this week. New England has had trouble scoring and will have trouble keeping up.
Pick: Cowboys
Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers (-14)
Arizona should be applauded for their effort. It seems like management wanted to tank, but they are playing their hearts out. They will have trouble moving the ball against the 49ers’ defense.
Pick: 49ers
Sunday Night Football
Kansas City Chiefs (-9.5) at New York Jets
Without Aaron Rodgers, things have been tough for the Jets. The Chiefs are firing on all cylinders and should win and cover on the road.
Pick: Chiefs
Monday Night Football
Seattle Seahawks (-1) at New York Giants
The Giants could be without Saquon Barkley, which will limit their offense. Seattle is finding their footing with two straight wins and will have the offense to win on the road.
Pick: Seahawks
