NFL Week 14 is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are the NFL week 14 picks against the spread. (Spreads are from Tallysight as of Tuesday morning)
Last Week: 7-8, Season: 89-101-6
Thursday Night Football
Las Vegas Raiders (-5) at Los Angeles Rams
The Rams are really hurting right now. They won’t have Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp, while Aaron Donald is banged up as well. Las Vegas should win and cover on the road.
Pick: Raiders
Sunday Afternoon
Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans (-3.5)
Before playing the Bengals and Eagles in back-to-back weeks, the Titans were playing some of the best football in the league. They will get back on track against the Jaguars.
Pick: Titans
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions (-2.5)
The Vikings have been handling business all season long and should be able to win over the Lions.
Pick: Vikings
Houston Texans at Dallas Cowboys (-14.5)
Houston doesn’t have much talent, while the Cowboys are executing on both sides of the ball over the last several weeks. After scoring 50 last week, they can cover again this week.
Pick: Cowboys
Philadelphia Eagles (-6) at New York Giants
The Giants have lost all their steam from their good start to the season. Philadelphia is still rolling along nicely and can utilize their offensive weapons to cover this spread.
Pick: Eagles
Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals (-3.5)
Cleveland has had success against the Bengals over the last few years. The Bengals are playing much better than they were the last time these two teams played though, as they just beat the Chiefs.
Pick: Bengals
Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers (-2.5)
Lamar Jackson is banged up and may or may not play in this one. Either way, Baltimore is desperate to win and stay in position to make the playoffs. Even with Tyler Huntley in, the Ravens can cover.
Pick: Ravens
New York Jets at Buffalo Bills (-9.5)
Buffalo will likely win this game, but the spread is a bit much for a game that is against a team fighting for a playoff spot with a good defense. The Jets can keep it within 10 points.
Pick: Jets
Sunday Evening
Kansas City Chiefs (-7.5) at Denver Broncos
Playing on the road against the Broncos is tough, but the Chiefs have been consistently good all season and still have the number-one seed to play for this year.
Pick: Chiefs
Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks (-6.5)
Carolina has to travel across the country and the Panthers can’t figure out their offense or quarterback situation. Seattle should win and cover.
Pick: Seahawks
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at San Francisco 49ers (-6.5)
Brock Purdy will start at quarterback for the 49ers with Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance being out for the season. Tampa Bay will be on a short week and it will be a tough challenge, but they may be able to take advantage of Mr. Irrelevant starting for the 49ers.
Pick: Buccaneers
Sunday Night Football
Miami Dolphins (-1) at Los Angeles Chargers
The Dolphins will have their second-straight game on the West Coast. They didn’t fare well against the 49ers, but were without their two starting tackles. Miami should be able to adjust better this week.
Pick: Dolphins
Monday Night Football
New England Patriots (-2) at Arizona Cardinals
Both of these teams have had their struggles this season. The Cardinals are at home and are coming off a bye, so they can pull off the upset at home.
Pick: Cardinals
