As the 2023 NFL season comes down to the wire, the Week 14 NFL schedule offers an intriguing slate of matchups with potentially massive playoff implications. If you’re interested in placing a bet, many of the best sports betting apps as per Overtime Heroics, already have lines available.
Without further ado, here are our week 14 NFL picks.
Patriots @ Steelers (-6)
With Kenny Pickett out for multiple weeks and the Patriots QB room in utter disarray, this Thursday night matchup has all the ingredients needed for a defensive slugfest. There might not be enough points in this game for the Steelers to cover, but they should win this one even with Mitch Trubisky at the helm.
Against the Spread: Patriots (+6)
Moneyline: Steelers
Jaguars (-3) @ Browns
This is an intriguing line for Jaguars bettors even coming off a short week. The Browns have not looked competitive at all the last couple of weeks against middle of the road Rams and Broncos squads and are starting an ancient Joe Flacco at QB. Jacksonville has some very impressive road wins already this season, namely in Buffalo, and should add to their tally here.
Against the Spread: Jaguars (-3)
Moneyline: Jaguars
Lions (-3) @ Bears
Now let’s get a little spicier. The Lions are obviously the better team this season, but the Bears have played a lot of close games recently, and almost left the Motor City with a win back in November. Detroit had few answers for Justin Fields on the ground in their first matchup, and Chicago might just surprise everyone in this rematch.
Against the Spread: Bears (+3)
Moneyline: Bears
Buccaneers @ Falcons (-2.5)
With nearly 100 scrimmage yards per game over the past six weeks, the Falcons are finally starting to use Bijan Robinson correctly, and it should be enough to get a home win against a Bucs defense who just gave up 104 yards and 2 TD’s to Chuba Hubbard.
Against the Spread: Falcons (-2.5)
Moneyline: Falcons
Texans (-6.5) @ Jets
Considering the Jets still don’t know who’s playing at QB, it’s hard to chalk them up for anything other than a loss here. But they absolutely could cover the spread at home against the Texans thanks to their top five pass defense, which has kept better QB’s than C.J. Stroud in check over the course of the season.
Against the Spread: Jets (+6.5)
Moneyline: Texans
Panthers @ Saints (-5.5)
At 1-11, it would be foolish to pick the Panthers to win any game the rest of the way, especially not against a Saints team fighting for their playoff lives. With an offense that hasn’t eclipsed 300 yards since week five, we don’t see Carolina having the juice to even cover in this encounter.
Against the Spread: Saints (-5.5)
Moneyline: Saints
Rams @ Ravens (-7)
Winners of three straight, the Rams are a popular upset pick this week, but we’re just not seeing it against this stacked Ravens team. Let’s put it this way: in Week 11, LA squeaked by Seattle by one point. Two weeks before Baltimore beat them by 34.
Against the Spread: Ravens (-7)
Moneyline: Ravens
Colts (-2.5) @ Bengals
The Bengals offense looked like it was in trouble after Joe Burrow went down for the season, but Cincy raised some eyebrows in a 34-31 Monday Night Football win over Jacksonville in Week 13. Still, the Bengals defense hasn’t been able to stop anyone lately, and we think despite Jake Browning’s recent solid efforts, the Colts should walk out of Cincinnati easy victors.
Against the Spread: Colts (-2.5)
Moneyline: Colts
Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers (-10.5)
The Seahawks offensive output was impressive last weekend against Dallas, but they already got smoked at home by the 49ers this season, and we don’t envision it getting much better on the road.
Against the Spread: 49ers (-10.5)
Moneyline: 49ers
Vikings (-3) @ Raiders
It seems sort of insane that the Vikings are road favorites in this one against a Raiders team with a ton of fight. Minnesota didn’t look great in their loss to the Bears, and we don’t expect things to get much better here.
Against the Spread: Raiders (+3)
Moneyline: Raiders
Bills @ Chiefs (-2.5)
One of the best games on the Week 14 NFL schedule features the Bills heading to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. Buffalo came very close to an impressive win in Philadelphia two weeks ago, and we think they’ll get it here and against a Chiefs team that’s looked a little shaky at times this season.
Against the Spread: Bills (+2.5)
Moneyline: Bills
Broncos @ Chargers (-3)
It’s hard to trust the Chargers right now with Brandon Staley at the helm, especially against a hot Broncos team despite a close loss to the Texans last week. The Bolts are just 1-3 in their last four games at home and could make it 1-4 during a season to forget.
Against the Spread: Broncos (+3)
Moneyline: Broncos
Eagles @ Cowboys (-3.5)
The Cowboys were so close to winning on the road in Philly earlier this year. Combine that with a sterling 6-0 record at home, and they should do just enough to squeak out a win against an Eagles team reeling from a huge loss to San Francisco.
Against the Spread: Eagles (+3.5)
Moneyline: Cowboys
Packers (-6.5) @ Giants
The Giants have looked a little bit better with Tommy Devito at QB, but not enough to convince us that they’ll win this Monday night matchup. Green Bay just got a massive confidence boost by beating Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, and it should be enough to carry them through, despite a closer game than some might anticipate.
Against the Spread: Giants (+6.5)
Moneyline: Packers
Titans @ Dolphins (-14)
Coming off back to back demolitions of the Commanders and the Jets, Miami should have no trouble against rookie QB Will Levis and the Titans. Although, with a win and a close OT loss to a good Colts team over the past two weeks, Tennessee deserves better than a -14 spread.
Against the Spread: Titans (+14)
Moneyline: Dolphins
