NFL Week 13 is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are the NFL week 13 picks against the spread. (Spreads are from tallysight as of Tuesday morning)
Last week: 9-6, Season total: 86-93-1
Thursday Night Football
Dallas Cowboys (-4.5) at New Orleans Saints
Both teams get a full week of rest before this game after playing on Thanksgiving. Dallas is dealing with COVID issues, but the Saints can’t figure out their quarterback situation. It is rumored that Taysom Hill will start, which may not fix the offensive problems.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-11.5) at Atlanta Falcons
Tampa Bay is coming off a tough win on the road over the Colts, which may help them get things back on track. Atlanta simply doesn’t have the roster to pose a threat to win this game, but they should be able to keep things within the spread.
Arizona Cardinals (-7.5) at Chicago Bears
Los Angeles Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals (-3.5)
Against the Steelers, the Bengals proved they can run the ball well. That bodes well against the Chargers, who have struggled against the run. Add in the fact that the game will be in the cold and the Bengals should be able to cover.
Minnesota Vikings (-6.5) at Detroit Lions
Minnesota should win this game, as they are far more talented. They do play just every game close so they could have a tough time covering the spread on the road.
Indianapolis Colts (-8.5) at Houston Texans
The Colts are playing really good football right now. They can run the ball and play defense, which seems to be the recipe for success in the back-half of seasons. Houston won’t be able to keep up.
New York Giants at Miami Dolphins (-3.5)
Miami is on fire. They have won four straight games with their defense and Tua Tagovaioa playing well. This game means more to them, as they still have a shot at the playoffs.
Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5) at New York Jets
The Jets came back to beat the Texans, while the Eagles struggled and lost to the Giants in week 12. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles should be able to bounce back and pick up a win on the road.
Washington Football Team at Las Vegas Raiders (-2.5)
Washington will have a short week and Las Vegas had plenty of time to prep for this game after playing on Thanksgiving. The Raiders need to keep winning to stay in the picture in the AFC.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Los Angeles Rams (-12.5)
The Rams have to get the offense rolling again after losing to the Packers. They can beat up on the Jaguars, while their new acquisitions continue to get acclimated to the Rams.
Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers
After the Bengals ran the ball well against the Steelers, the Ravens should be able to do similarly. Pittsburgh doesn’t have the consistent offense to keep up.
San Francisco 49ers (-3.5) at Seattle Seahawks
San Francisco has won four out of the last five games. They are trending in the right direction, while the Seahawks are spiraling. The 49ers should win and cover on the road.
Sunday Night Football
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs (-9.5)
The Chiefs will likely walk away with a victory over the Broncos, but Denver can play them tough. Kansas City hasn’t fully figured out their problems yet and the Broncos will keep it within 10 points.
Monday Night Football
New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills (-2.5)
Buffalo needs to defend their home turf and get back into the driver’s seat in their division. In a primetime game, the crowd and defense will make things tough for Mac Jones. The Bills should win and cover.
