NFL Week 12 Picks Against the Spread

Publish Date: November 21, 2023

NFL Week 12 is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are the NFL week 12 picks against the spread. (Spreads are from Tallysight as of Tuesday morning)

Last week: 7-7

Season: 98-62-5

Thanksgiving Games

Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions (-7.5)

The Lions keep on finding ways to win games. Their pass rush will make it tough for Jordan Love and Jared Goff‘s offense will take care of business to win and cover.

Pick: Lions

Washington Commanders at Dallas Cowboys (-11)

Dallas is firing on all cylinders right now. The Cowboys have covered larger spreads in two straight. With the Commanders trading away some of their assets at the deadline, the Cowboys should be able to take advantage to win and cover.

Pick: Cowboys

San Francisco 49ers (-6.5) at Seattle Seahawks

The 49ers have been on fire since their bye week. They were able to get healthy and it is showing on the field. The Seahawks are dealing with an arm injury to Geno Smith, who may not be 100 percent if he ends up playing. San Francisco can win and cover.

Pick: 49ers

Black Friday Game

Miami Dolphins (-10) at New York Jets

New York is turning things over to Tim Boyle, which likely won’t improve the offense too much. Miami can unleash their high-powered offense and the Jets won’t be able to keep up.

Pick: Dolphins

Sunday Afternoon

Jacksonville Jaguars (-1.5) at Houston Texans

After a bad loss to the 49ers, the Jaguars got things back on track against the Titans. If Trevor Lawrence can play well, the Jaguars can win on the road and keep themselves in play for the number one seed in the AFC.

Pick: Jaguars

Pittsburgh Steelers (-1) at Cincinnati Bengals

Joe Burrow is out for the Bengals, which will really make the Bengals take a step back. The Steelers have fired offensive coordinator Matt Canada, so the offense may improve. If fully healthy the Bengals probably win, but that isn’t the case.

Pick: Steelers

Carolina Panthers at Tennessee Titans (-3.5)

It is time for Derrick Henry to get going as the weather starts to get colder. In a battle of rookie quarterbacks, the team that ends up running the ball better could win the game and Henry needs to find his form.

Pick: Titans

New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons (-1)

Derek Carr is still in concussion protocol, but Jameis Winston will be ready to be a gunslinger. The Saints have the more talented roster and can win on the road. Atlanta is turning things back to Desmond Ridder, which may not make things better.

Pick: Saints

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Indianapolis Colts (-2.5)

Tampa Bay is 4-6, but have won all games that they should’ve besides a game at home against the Falcons. With their weapons on the outside, they could move the ball better than the Colts and get the win on the road.

Pick: Buccaneers

New England Patriots (-3) at New York Giants

Both of these teams are in play to get the top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Giants seemed to find some life after their win over Washington. Tommy DeVito made improvements, while Mac Jones still hasn’t shown much this season.

Pick: Giants

Sunday Evening

Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos (-2.5)

Cleveland is starting Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Denver is on a hot streak and can make things tough on the rookie quarterback.

Pick: Broncos

Los Angeles Rams (-1) at Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals have battled hard all season. That is even more true since Kyler Murray returned. They can defend their home turf in this game and get their second win since Murray’s return.

Pick: Cardinals

Buffalo Bills at Philadelphia Eagles (-3.5)

Philadelphia still isn’t playing their best football this year, but they are so talented that they keep winning games. Buffalo is still figuring things out after a bad start that featured a lot of turnovers.

Pick: Eagles

Kansas City Chiefs (-9.5) at Las Vegas Raiders

The Chiefs are struggling to score second-half touchdowns over the last several weeks. Playing the Raiders could help, although they are playing tough since Antonio Pierce took over. This can get the Chiefs back on track.

Pick: Chiefs

Sunday Night Football

Baltimore Ravens (-4) at Los Angeles Chargers

Baltimore needs to keep winning to stay atop the AFC. The Chargers just lost on the road to the Packers, so it will be tough for them to rebound for this game against a much better opponent.

Pick: Ravens

Monday Night Football

Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings (-3.5)

Minnesota has played themselves into the playoff race. Chicago showed better life with Justin Fields under center, but the Vikings are a better team and have more to play for this season.

Pick: Vikings
