The NFL trade deadline is quickly approaching, and the rumor mill is heating up. Teams are looking to make moves ahead of the Nov. 10 deadline, whether it is to fortify a contender or sell for the future. Here are some trade targets on the defensive side of the ball that could be moved next week.
Woolen is drawing a lot of interest from teams that are in need of help on the back end of their defenses. He is on a one-year deal, which helps his trade interest tremendously. Woolen is known as a solid cover corner and would certainly help out a weak secondary.
Sweat has generated buzz in trade discussions for the last couple of seasons, and for good reason. He has been a very good pass rusher, and Arizona has stayed at the bottom of the barrel. Interestingly enough, they have never shown a huge amount of interest in moving him. This could be the season, though, as they continue to sit at the bottom of a loaded division.
Baker is in his tenth NFL season, all of them spent with the Cardinals. This could mean that he would be hesitant to move on. With the Cardinals’ current situation, an aging safety making an AAV of $18 million per year could be a good contract to get off the books.
The Chargers have seemed hesitant to move Mack, who is on a one-year deal. However, the Chargers are going nowhere fast in the 2026 season, and it would make a lot of sense for them to get something for the great pass-rusher. A reunion in Chicago seems the most likely outcome if LA does indeed deal him.
Best Fits: 49ers, Bears
Uche is another veteran rotational pass rusher who has a solid market in the trade scene. He is also on an expiring contract, and the Dolphins are another team that would be looking to deal guys like that while they look towards the future.
Best Fits: Chiefs, Giants
Reid is in the second year of a three-year deal with New Orleans, but he has drawn interest as a prime trade candidate. The Saints are in a bit of a tailspin after a decent start, and Reid could be a casualty of that kind of skid. He has been a good safety in the league for a while, before New Orleans, with the Chiefs and Texans.
Best Fits: Bills, Jaguars
