NFL Draft Prospects in the 2020 LendingTree Bowl

The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. The bowl season schedule allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2020 LendingTree Bowl.

Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Draft Prospects

Trey Ragas, RB

Ragas is one of a few running back prospects from the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns this season. In his career, he has 2,775 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns. This season, Ragas has totaled 781 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.

He is well-built at 5-foot-10 and 218 pounds. His ability to catch the ball out of the backfield should help his draft stock. Ragas could go in the middle rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Projected Draft Range: Third round-fifth round

Raymond Calais, RB

Calais has been able to produce even with other running backs getting playing time in their backfield. He has rushed for 1,841 yards and 15 touchdowns. In 2019, Calais has 882 rushing yards and six touchdowns to go with 69 receiving yards and one touchdown.

At 5-foot-9 and 185 pounds, Calais is small for an NFL running back. He should be able to create a niche for himself in an NFL backfield though.

Projected Draft Range: Fourth round-sixth round

Other notable draft-eligible players: RB Elijah Mitchell, WR Ja’Marcus Bradley, OT Robert Hunt, OG/C Rico Robinson, OG/C Ken Marks, OG/C Kevin Dotson, OG/C Cole Prudhomme, DT Bennie Higgins, LB Jacques Boudreaux, CB Michael Jacquet, S Kamar Greenhouse

Maurice Thomas, RB

Thomas has played five seasons for Miami as a running back and returner. He has 927 career rushing yards, 2,429 kick return yards and two touchdowns in his career. This season he has rushed for 192 yards and has 641 return yards.

He is 5-foot-11 and 179 pounds, so he’ll need to add some play strength. Thomas will get some chances as a return specialist.

Projected Draft Range: Undrafted free agent

Mike Brown, S

Brown is just a junior who will likely return to school for his senior season. He has 113 total tackles, four interceptions and five passes defended in his career. This season, Brown has racked up 51 total tackles, three interceptions and two passes defended.

At 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds, Brown has good size for a safety. He should go back to school, but if he comes out, he will get a chance at a training camp.

Projected Draft Range: Undrafted free agent

Other notable draft-eligible players: TE Nate Becker, OT Tommy Doyle, OG/C Jarrett LaRubbio, DT Doug Costin
