The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. The bowl season schedule allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2019 SoFi Hawai’i Bowl.
Matt Bushman, TE
Bushman is only a junior, but could be one of the first tight ends selected in the 2020 NFL Draft. In his career, he has 119 receptions for 1,628 yards and nine touchdowns. This season, Bushman has 41 receptions for 597 yards and four touchdowns.
He has decent size for an NFL tight end at 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds. With it being a down year for tight ends, Bushman could be selected in the middle rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Projected Draft Range: Third round-fifth round
Aleva Hifo, WR
He has been on the BYU campus for four seasons, but has been a big contributor for three. Hifo has 113 catches for 1,292 yards and seven touchdowns in his career. In 2019, Hifo has 37 receptions for 439 yards and three touchdowns.
The senior stands 5-foot-11 and 187 pounds. He’ll need to add play strength to be successful at the next level. Hifo has a chance to be selected near the end of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth round-undrafted free agent
Other notable draft-eligible players: RB Ty’Son Williams (will not play-torn ACL), OT Thomas Shoaf, OG/C Tristen Hoge, DT Khyiris Tonga, LB Zayne Anderson (will not play-shoulder injury), CB Dayan Ghanwoloku, CB Troy Warner, CB Chris Wilcox, S Austin Lee
Kohl Levao, OG/C

Levao spent time at the City College of San Francisco before going to Hawai’i for the last two seasons. He was a starter immediately for the Warriors. Over his two seasons he has fit right into the Hawai’i air raid offense.
At 6-foot-6 and 340 pounds, Levao has the size, strength and power to be successful in the NFL. Levao is a candidate to be selected in the later rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Cedric Byrd II, WR
Byrd has only played for the Warriors for two seasons, but has made a huge impact for the team. For his career, Byrd has 174 receptions for 2,038 yards and 19 touchdowns. This season he has played his best football with 95 receptions for 1,068 yards and 10 touchdowns.
He is 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, which probably will have him resigned to the slot in the NFL. Byrd’s production should have him on teams’ draft boards, but he may be undrafted.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth round-undrafted free agent
Other notable draft-eligible players: QB Cole McDonald, RB Dayton Furuta, WR JoJo Ward, OG/C J.R. Hensley, DT Samuela Akoteu, Edge Kaimana Padello, LB Solomon Matautia, S Ikem Okeke, S Kalen Hicks
