The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. The bowl season schedule allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2019 Arizona Bowl.
Georgia State Panthers Prospects
Dan Ellington, QB
Ellington has led Georgia State for two seasons and has been a warrior for the team. In his career, he has 4,410 passing yards, 33 touchdowns and 12 interceptions on 62.5 percent completion. This season he has 2,291 passing yards, 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions on 65 percent completion.
He is 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, which is solid size for an NFL quarterback. Ellington led Georgia State to a big win over Tennessee this season and has also been playing on a torn ACL down the stretch. He will likely be an undrafted free agent.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted free agent
Terry Thomas, DT
Thomas has contributed in all four seasons at Georgia State. He has 117 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in his career. For 2019, Thomas has 28 total tackles, five tackles for loss and two sacks.
At 6-foot-3 and 275 pounds he won’t be a big interior lineman at the next level. He may be versatile to move inside and out though. Thomas will have to fight to make an NFL roster.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted free agent
Other notable draft-eligible players:Â S Remy Lazarus, RB Tra Barnett
Wyoming Cowboys Draft Prospects
Logan Wilson, LB
After redshirting his first year on campus, Wilson has been tackling everybody for Wyoming. In his four years on the field, he has 402 total tackles, 33.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks. This season, he has 98 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and one sack.
He has good size for an NFL linebacker at 6-foot-2 and 250 pounds. Wilson may have some limitations on third downs, but should still be selected near the end of the draft.
Projected Draft Range: Fourth round-sixth round
Alijah Halliburton, S
Over his four seasons with the team, Halliburton has progressively improved. For his career, he has 212 total tackles, four passes defended and one interception. This season, Halliburton has 119 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss and one interception.
At 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, Halliburton has the size of an NFL safety if he adds a little bit of muscle. He has a lot of tackles for a safety, which should make him a desirable player for NFL teams.
Projected Draft Range: Fifth round-seventh round
Other notable draft-eligible players:Â WR Austin Conway
