The New York Jets will re-sign cornerback Brian Poole on a one-year, $5 million deal according to Adam Schefter.

Poole, 27, played the first three seasons of his career for the Falcons before playing for the Jets last season. He had five passes defended and one interception last season. In his career, he has 24 passes defended and five interceptions.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Jets announced that they were cutting Trumaine Johnson. While they still will likely need to add more to their secondary, retaining Poole will give them some stability.
