The New York Jets will release Trumaine Johnson on Wednesday according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The #Jets will officially release CB Trumaine Johnson today, a move expected since the end of last year and one that closes out one of the worst free agent signings in recent memory. That said, Johnson has made almost $70M in his career, which is absolutely incredible.

Johnson, 30, has played for the Rams and Jets over his eight-year career. The last two seasons he has been a Jet and in 2019 he played in just seven games due to injury. He registered two passes defended and one interception last season.
By releasing Johnson, the Jets will save just over $2 million in cap space.
