The New York Jets will release Trumaine Johnson on Wednesday according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Johnson, 30, has played for the Rams and Jets over his eight-year career. The last two seasons he has been a Jet and in 2019 he played in just seven games due to injury. He registered two passes defended and one interception last season.
By releasing Johnson, the Jets will save just over $2 million in cap space.
