Braxton Berrios has re-signed with the New York Jets according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The deal is a reported two-year, $12 million deal, which is somewhat lower than what some thought he would get elsewhere. Adam Schefter also reported that there is $7 million guaranteed
Berrios was always a role player, to help with depth for the Jets, but Zach Wilson has shown some great chemistry with him. He also gives them some depth behind Elijah Moore and Corey Davis.
Berrios has also been a standout on special teams, where he was voted 2nd-team All-Pro in 2021 as a Kick Returner. He finished in the top five in average yards per kick return and punt return. He finished with 431 yards and two touchdowns, numbers that don’t exactly jump off the page, but he adds a ton as a probable fourth receiver.
