The New York Jets have added more secondary help, signing safety Jordan Whitehead to a 2-year, $14.5 million deal.
Whitehead has shown a lot of talent as a run defender, and is tied for fifth since 2018 for tackles for loss as a safety. He also finished fourth in 2021 with run stops out of all safeties. While he needs to improve in the pass defending department, he adds another starting quality player to the Jets secondary.
A fourth round pick from the 2018 draft, he spent all of his first four seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
