The New York Giants reached a deal with linebacker Blake Martinez for three-years and $30 million according to multiple sources. They also agreed to a deal with Levine Toilolo.
Martinez, 26, spent his first four seasons in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers as he totaled 512 tackles. He is known for his ability to stop the run, but he struggles in coverage. The former Stanford Cardinal is the projected starter at middle linebacker.
Toilolo is a 28-year-old tight end has played seven NFL seasons with time spent on the Falcons, Lions and 49ers. He has 97 receptions for 996 yards and eight tight ends. He will likely be used as a blocking tight end, as the Giants have Evan Engram as a good pass-catcher at the position.
