The New Orleans Saints have unveiled a black helmet that they will wear for at least one game during the 2022 season. The Saints’ black helmets were announced on their social media pages Thursday.
The Saints are one of the many teams taking advantage of the NFL’s new rule allowing teams to wear more than one helmet per season. One of their rivals, the Atlanta Falcons, revealed red helmets earlier this offseason.
New Orleans will still wear their primary gold helmets for most games this season. The Saints have yet to confirm which game(s) they will wear the black helmets for during the season.
