The New Orleans Saints have agreed to a five-year, $57.5 million deal to bring back offensive lineman Andrus Peat according to multiple sources. He will have $33 million guaranteed.
Peat, 26, was drafted by the team in 2015 and has made 60 starts for them. He is a two-time Pro-Bowler. The guard does have position flexiblity, as he can play tackle as well.
With the signing of Peat, the Saints are keeping together an impressive offensive line that includes Ryan Ramczyk, Larry Warford, Gerald McCoy, Peat and Terron Armstead. They’ll have to be at their best to protect the aging Drew Brees.
