The New England Patriots have agreed to a one-year deal with wide receiver Damiere Byrd according to Mike Garafolo.
Byrd, 27, has 44 career receptions for 488 yards and three touchdowns. Last season in Arizona, Byrd had 32 catches for 359 yards and one touchdown. He has also spent time with the Panthers in his four-year career.
While he is joining the Patriots, Byrd doesn’t know who will be throwing passes to him next year with Tom Brady expected to sign in Tampa Bay.
