The New York Giants are signing running back Najee Harris to a one-year deal, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
Harris’ 2025 season with the Los Angeles Chargers was cut short due to an Achilles injury, as he played in only three games last season.
Harris, 28, is now working his way back from the injury and will provide some veteran help alongside the Giants’ current running back tandem of Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy Jr.
Despite missing most of last season due to his Achilles injury, Harris played in all 17 games in each of his four seasons in a Steelers uniform. His time in Pittsburgh resulted in four straight 1,000-yard rushing seasons and a total of 28 rushing touchdowns.
Harris’ track record with the Steelers has shown that he can be an effective and threatening player when healthy, but he’ll need to earn his role on a Giants team that already has capable running backs within the system.
