Fitzpatrick requested a trade after the Dolphins started off the season poorly. The second-year player out of Alabama was drafted by the Dolphins in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
In his career, Fitzpatrick has 91 total tackles, nine passes defended and one fumble recovery. He is versatile enough to play both corner or safety for Pittsburgh.
This is Miami’s third first-round selection, as they acquired one from the Texans in a trade earlier this season.
