Free agent defensive lineman Milton Williams has agreed to a deal with the New England Patriots, according to Dianna Russini. He will make $26 million per year, although there is no confirmation on how many years the deal will be for.
Williams, 25, spent the first four seasons of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles. In his career, he has 132 tackles and 11.5 sacks. Last season, he helped the Eagles win the Super Bowl with 24 total tackles and five sacks during the regular season.
Although it was initially reported that he agreed to a deal with the Panthers, Williams has now agreed to a deal in New England. He joins a defense that has already added linebacker Robert Spillane and cornerback Carlton Davis in free agency.
