New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has missed the entire season so far after having ankle surgery. Now he has a new ankle injury which will make his date of return unclear according to Ian Rapoport.
FROM @GMFB: #Saints WR Michael Thomas has a new issue with his ankle that necessitated an appointment with a specialist recently, sources say. His return date off the PUP list is unpredictable. This is why New Orleans tried to trade for a WR yesterday. pic.twitter.com/dJNXlr3YH3

For now, Thomas will stay on the PUP list. He was eligible to return from the PUP list in week 7, but has not returned for action. Thomas has seen a specialist, but no timetable for his return has been given.
The relationship between Thomas and the front office has seemingly been strained after the receiver had surgery late in the offseason. Many question whether Thomas will play for the Saints again.
Thomas, 28, has made three Pro Bowls and two All-Pro teams in the first five seasons of his career. He has 510 receptions for 5,950 yards and 32 touchdowns in his career.
