Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott has announced that two key defensive players are out for Week 3’s matchup with the Dolphins. Safety Micah Hyde and defensive lineman Jordan Phillips are both sitting out the game with injury.
The Bills’ official Twitter account reported the news on Friday.
Hyde joined the Bills in 2017 after spending the first four seasons of his career with the Green Bay Packers. This is his sixth season in Buffalo, where he has become an anchor of the defense. So far in 2022, he has seven combined tackles in two games. He had five interceptions last year.
This is Phillips’ second stint in Buffalo, as he played almost two full seasons there in 2018 and 2019. After spending 2020 and 2021 in Arizona, he rejoined the Bills for this season, and has started one game and played in both. He already has 1.5 sacks on the year.
