The Miami Dolphins have waived veteran running back Jordan Howard. He is now eligible to be picked up by any team in the league. Howard had signed a two-year, 9.75 million deal with the Dolphins in March of 2020.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter broke the news via Twitter on Monday.
Dolphins waived veteran RB Jordan Howard, per source.
Howard was inactive Sunday, and now he is gone from Miami. All veterans now go on waivers.

In five games, Howard scored four touchdowns but has rushed for only 33 yards on 28 carries. He was inactive on Sunday, and waived directly afterward. His only Pro Bowl season came during his rookie campaign in 2016 with Chicago.
Depending on injury, Howard may be picked up by a team dealing with issues at a running back position due to his veteran status alone. If he is claimed, that team will be his third in two years.
