Shortly after re-signing defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah to a four-year contract, the Dolphins have agreed to terms with running back Chase Edmonds. The Dolphins have signed the former Cardinal to a two-year deal worth $12.6 million, with $6.1 million fully guaranteed.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Edmonds was drafted by the Cardinals out of Fordham University in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He has played his entire NFL career in Arizona, until signing this new deal moving him to south Florida. He will be 26-years-old in 2022.
He played in 12 games in 2021, starting 11. Injuries were a concern for Edmonds, which gave way for newly-acquired running back James Conner to see the bulk of the rushing work. He still managed to rack up 592 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, adding 311 yards to his total in the passing game.
