The Dolphins will look to keep their momentum going as they are coming off a huge win against the Baltimore Ravens. They will now face the New York Jets this coming Sunday in the Meadowlands. New York is one the worst teams in the league as they have a 2-7 record. The Dolphins come into this as a 3-point favorite, which doesn’t happen often as they have struggled this year as well with a record of 3-7. This is a very winnable game for Miami as they are the better team right now and have all the momentum on their side. This article will preview the Miami Dolphins Week 11 game against the New York Jets.
The Jets come into this game ranked second to last in passing yards allowed. New York on average gives up 283 passing yards a game. This is something Tagovailoa and the Dolphins need to take advantage of in this game. Tagovailoa needs to focus on making the right reads and keeping mistakes to a minimum. Avoiding setbacks is tough with a bad offensive line, but he needs to avoid things he can control like interceptions. If he can do that then the rest should work out okay for the Dolphins.
Miami has lots of great weapons at receiver. Jaylen Waddle has been great this year as he is a great route runner and he speedy once he catches the ball. Albert Wilson and Isaiah Ford have also stepped up in the absence of DeVante Parker. Mike Gesicki did not do so hot against the Ravens, but he also has been a reliable weapon for Tagovailoa. With this Jets defense, this is an opportunity for Tagovailoa to have a nice 300-yard passing day if things work in the Dolphins’ favor.
The Miami defense really stepped up against Ravens last Thursday night, as they sacked Lamar Jackson four times and really neutralize that Baltimore offense. There is no reason they can’t do the same against the Jets. Miami needs to focus on making Joe Flacco uncomfortable all day in the pocket. The Dolphins have lots of weapons on that defensive line such as Emmanuel Ogbah and Christian Wilkins. Ogbah quietly had two tackles with one being for loss against Baltimore. With that being said he has made sacks for the Dolphins all year and has a good chance of getting one against the Jets this coming Sunday.

The secondary also needs to capitalize off Joe Flacco’s mistakes and get some turnovers in this game. Xavien Howard led the league in interceptions last year and made big plays Thursday night against Baltimore. Look for him to be a factor against the Jets as well. Lastly, Jevon Holland has been playing great as of late. He got a sack and had multiple tackles against Baltimore on Thursday. He could very well make some key plays this Sunday in the Meadowlands
Overall, it is hard to against the Dolphins in this game. Tagovailoa will be back in the lineup and the defense has played well recently. They are going up a against a struggling team who is on their third quarterback in Joe Flacco. Zach Wilson is still trying to get healthy, and Mike White just did not perform against the Bills. This game could be close for a couple of quarters, but the Dolphins should find a way to pull away at the end.
Score Prediction: Dolphins-28 Jets-17
This concludes this Miami Dolphins game preview.
